I have not been very religious in my adult lift, or spiritual for that matter. But the more I read and study, the more I have recognized the wisdom in what you so succinctly stated.
There is so much in this piece to reflect on. I think of the place in which I live, K'jipuktuk (renamed Halifax), and all that was stolen from the Mi'kmaq, who inhabited this land since time immemorial. I think about the matrix of sin (nod to Trey for this description) that made the colonizers feel entitled to steal place names and people's names from them. I think about my role in using these re-names without a thought for nearly half a century.
