First and foremost, there are some new faces here. Welcome!
I don’t take your presence for granted. In a world in which social media platforms rise and fall as the tides do, choosing to seek community with me in this arena—mostly outside the grasp of the almighty algorithm—means the world to me.
And not just because I have a book coming out. (It’s beginning to look a lot like Bookmas 🌚)
But mostly because I enjoy it when people who want to sit with the thoughts of others in edifying ways find the means to do that. And I hope this space at The Son Do Move is a means of doing that.
If you’re new here, each month I run a couple of posts for the subscribers who’ve chosen to show support financially. There’s this “Ask Me (Almost) Anything” session: a place to check in with any questions you might have for me on religion, faith, the Bible, my writing process, or anything else that may come to mind… unless I don’t feel like answering it. And there’s a monthly Pros & Cons column, where I look at each month in review. Last month’s “cons” section was dedicated to roasting Justice Clarence Thomas.
Pros & Cons: June 2023
In that post, I encouraged anyone who wanted to see the entirety of the post and participate in all of the paid subscriber perks but couldn’t to hit me up. And I want to encourage y’all to do that yet again. If you’d like to join the community, I don’t want money to be a barrier. Just reply to any email in your inbox from The Son Do Move and let me know, and we’ll get you set up. The more the merrier!
With that said: ask me (almost) anything!
