I can't tell you how much I needed to hear this today. It's been a dark day indeed and I forgot, for a moment, that I can be a light. Will be holding on to this email. Thank you, Pastor Trey, for being my light today.
"If you have been blessed with light to carry, recognize that blessing as a responsibility. The world needs you to help it see itself as she truly is. The world needs you to help her become who she can be."
Thank you for these words...
I missed them on Jan 20 (a work day in Canada), but God intended me to see them this day.
I pray that in the days ahead, I will use my light, my privilege, all other resources I have to uphold those around me.
I pray that I will be aware of the opportunities to be a light in dark places. After the darkness comes the dawn, I pray it is swift in coming.
I try to read these as soon as I see them in my inbox. It has been a busy week at work (the inbox I receive them at), and so I hadn't. As I drove to work this morning, I was feeling the weight of a lack of hope. Having not read this until a few days after publishing allowed me to be blessed by the message at exactly the right time. Thank you.
