We made it through another uneventful November!
Leap years are cool, because we get an extra day in February, the Summer Olympic games, and absolutely nothing else of significance with regard to America’s socio-political landscape.
Anyway, November is over. Time for pros & cons!
Pros:
The United States didn’t do anything super embarrassing of historical significance.
It would be super awkward if we did something embarrassing of historically epic proportions. Like electing a guy who doesn’t believe in elections to run the federal government.
The University of Miami Hurricanes won some football games.
The Canes hit the month of November undefeated and will be entering the month of December… with more wins than losses. It’s true. You can google it. Just look at the wins column though. Don’t worry about that other one.
All jokes aside, Thanksgiving was lit.
I know the historical problems and mythology around Thanksgiving are complicated for many people.
At the same time, I cherish the opportunity to make a day of feasting and fellowship. And that’s what we did this year. I had a dope meal with my family, and then a Jamaican plate with my next door neighbor.
It was JUST what the doctor ordered. I mean… my real-life doctor probably would have been alarmed. But we not talkin’ bout her right now. She’s one of my biggest haters.
