At the end of each month, I publish a post reviewing the highs & lows of the month.

The month of May was good to me this year. There were so many opportunities for celebration and reflection. So many chances for me to appreciate the circle of life in a world that seems intent to stress us to death.
I’m rarely unaware of causes to lament, which makes it even more important to capitalize on occasions for celebration. By the grace of God, I had more than a few of those this month.
Many of you have journeyed with me in various capacities over the months and years, so it might be a good time to share some of the things that brought me joy this month with some of you.
Pros:
My brother helped me publish poetry.
I don’t regularly share poetry I write too often. Maybe I’m shy or something. But this month, my dearly beloved brother invited and encouraged me to collaborate on a poetic venture. I won’t lie. It felt good. You can check that out here:And if you’re not already subscribed to his substack, go ahead and fix that!
I’m officially the parent of a high school graduate!
My oldest daughter graduated from high school this month.
It’s not my story to tell, but the journey wasn’t always easy.
The most exciting aspect is that this is not an ending, but a beginning. Who knows what the future holds for this young adult child of mine? She graduated on a Thursday and started working on that Friday. WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD, BABY!!!… is a thing we could say before the decisions and apathy of elected representatives contributed to a world in which our young people have to confront grim realities a bit sooner than might otherwise be necessary.
But I digress. This is the PROS column. My baby did the doggone thing!I saw my Uncle for the third time ever.
