June Ask Me (Almost) Anything
It's been a busy couple weeks, but there's always time to run this one back.
I know I know, the writing has been a little slow coming out of The Son Do Move lately, but I promise there’s a (pretty good, I think?) reason.
I’ve been trying to wrap up this manuscript so we can get this book out into the world!
I hit a major milestone in the past week. We reached 100% of the funding goal for this book. I went about this in a pretty unconventional way. After reflecting on the compensation models, I wasn’t too excited about pursuing a traditional publishing agreement. At the same time, I didn’t feel like I had the capacity or expertise to self-publish this book on the scale I wanted to. So, I entered an agreement with Lake Drive Books, a hybrid publisher that seemed just right for what I was trying to do.
But I didn’t stop there. I launched an ambitious crowdfunding campaign that would enable us to get this done at what I’m hoping is a pretty high level. And this week, I got to breath a sigh of relief as I witnessed at least one of these gambles I took pay off.
Thank you to each and every person who contributed! And if you didn’t (but wanted to), you can still give here. GoFundMe actually takes a chunk of those contributions, so any donations would be GREATLY appreciated. If you’re not a fan of giving via GoFundMe, you can find other ways to donate here.
But enough about the book (for now 🌚).
I do plan on breaking y’all off with a little reflection from our trip to Utah.
Until then, let’s get into it! Hop in the comments and ask me (almost) anything!

Okay. Serious question.
What is the context and meaning behind the verses that talk about “casting out the immoral brother”.
So excited for your book to be out in the world! What has surprised you the most about the publishing process so far?
