I saw five Black people in Nebraska over a three day period.
If I were writing a screenplay, that’s the line that goes right before the record scratch and the “you’re probably wondering how I got here…” voiceover. And I know people are wondering how I ended up there, because they asked me. Repeatedly. Shoot, I even asked myself how I got there a couple of times.
